Nowadays, it’s easy to buy a jumpsuit, smartphone, or television set from a store that’s like three countries away from you. All you need to do is tap for a few times and you’ll get it delivered to you.

However, this comes with its risk. While there are thousands of legitimate products you’ll see at an online retail store, there are also some scam products that has been squeezed among them, which makes it easy for someone to fall victim.

In this article from top online casino, we will be listing a few ways you can identify legit products while shopping on an online retail store.

Researching The Product Name

It’s a wonder what a natural Google search could do to change your decision on different matters. If someone posted a furious experience of a specific product online, there’s a good chance it can be found on Google search engine.

Search for the product title, and if no information about the specific product is found, you should start raising your suspicious flag. This could mean that no one knows of it, or the name is made up. When searching for the product online, include the name of the vendor. This will help in narrowing down your search to a specific store. A real product name could be used to advertise a fake product, but if the vendor has a history with scams, then you should be avoiding that product.

Reverse Image Search

There are cases where the scamming vendors will use stock images or an image from another vendor as their product’s image. A reverse image search will help avoid falling victim to this.

There are two ways to do a reverse image; the first is by uploading the picture or a screenshot of the item to images.google.com and clicking the search button once you’re done uploading the image. If you discover several copies of the image on a stock image site or a different eCommerce platform, then you should be raising your red flag.

However, this is not enough to verify scam products as wholesale brands sometimes upload several images to retailers for marketing purposes. Still, you should treat them as suspicious.

Another way to perform a reverse image search is through TinyEye and Berify.

Check Out The Product’s Review

Customer reviews always play an important role in deciding to buy a product or not. Of course, the retailers are not oblivious to this. So, they also invest lots of time to ensure that the reviews of their products remain positive, to ensure the potential buyers of their legitimate products.

To identify scam products from customer reviews, you’ll have to take a different approach when you’re reading the reviews. Don’t be in a hurry to believe the overall rating, as they can be easily manipulated to promote products. Reading reviews, the real ones are always written in mixed opinions; a mixture of the good and the bad.

Don’t pay attention to the too good praises of products, genuine reviewers will explain the experience they had with the product.

Ridiculous Prices

If you spot a product with a price that looks too good to be true, you should be avoiding that product. You can never see a Samsung phone going for $50, even when it’s labelled as a discount. The only Samsung product you will be getting with that price is probably it’s casing. Try your best not to be baited by the cheap prices considering this is the holiday period, but you can playing games at best au online casino sites.

Suspicious Warranty Or Return Policy

If you see a product worth several hundred dollars yet comes with a short warranty period, proceed with caution at your own risk. Products with huge price tags always come with a longer warranty period.

In the same way, vendors selling fake products will always give a few days return window for defective products. A warranty or return policy that doesn’t follow the industry standard for specific products is usually not a good sign.
