Signs that You Need to Upgrade Your Phone

Smartphones can last for years and won’t need to be replaced or upgraded as long as it still works as intended. However, if you’re experiencing these 3 issues then it’s time to shop for a new one.

Battery Goes Out in an Hour or Less

A mobile phone’s usefulness is limited by how much battery charge you have. It makes total sense that you won’t be able to shop, browse the web or play games if the battery is at zero.

Unfortunately, it will be very difficult to replace the battery yourself if you find that your phone won’t hold a charge like it used to. Short of being tethered to a nearby power outlet (which eliminates the convenience of mobile devices), you should think about your next device.

A typical mobile phone battery is rated to last two or three years, and after that it goes into a slow yet steady decline.

Your Phone’s Screen is Broken and You Can’t See the Content

Conversely speaking, your phone may be working fine but it’s the display that’s shattered. It may have dropped a good deal of height, and now the most vulnerable part (the display glass) is broken and affects your viewing experience.

You can have the screen replaced at an authorized repair center, or you can upgrade to a newer model. If it’s two or three years old then it may be wiser to spend the same amount on a new smartphone rather than fixing the glass.

Games and Apps Are Freezing

The reason why apps, games and browsing freeze up or lag is insufficient memory or processing power. Your old phone might still be working, but if it has 2GB of RAM or less then it will struggle with newer apps and games.

Your next smartphone should have at least 4GB of memory to be able to run Gclub games and apps with no problems.
