There were so many hip-hop concerts canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic over the course of the last couple of years. Just about every major hip-hop tour—not to mention quite a few hip-hop festivals—got shelved because of the coronavirus outbreak.

But now that the COVID-19 pandemic is (hopefully!) beginning to come to a close, many music shows are heading back out on the road. And that, of course, includes lots of rap concerts.

If you’re a rap fan who has been missing out on attending hip-hop shows, you should make the most of this. It would be worth buying tickets to as many hip-hop concerts and festivals as you can.

Here are eight hip-hop concerts that you definitely won’t want to miss in the coming months.

1. Kendrick Lamar

At the start of 2022, most rap fans weren’t sure if Kendrick Lamar would even be dropping a new album this year, let alone going out on tour. But he surprised everyone in May when he released his fifth album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers.

To support this album, King Kendrick also announced that he would be going out on his “The Big Steppers Tour.” It kicks off in July and will run through September. It’ll feature Kendrick stopping in various cities all throughout the world.

2. Jack Harlow

Although Kendrick Lamar’s music has overshadowed most of the other rap music released through the first half of 2022, you could argue that no rapper has had a bigger year thus far than Jack Harlow.

Harlow released his second album, Come Home the Kids Miss You, in May right before Kendrick’s album dropped. It featured the hit song, “First Class,” which took off on TikTok before climbing to the top of the Billboard charts.

Harlow is currently touring the country on his “Come Home the Kids Miss You” tour now through October. City Girls are his opening act on the tour.

3. Lizzo

Believe it or not, it’s been three long years now since Lizzo jumped onto the national scene with her major-label debut, Cuz I Love You, and went out on tour. But she’s going to be back in a big way this fall in support of her latest album, Special.

Lizzo’s “Special” tour will start in September and run through November. Latto will serve as Lizzo’s opener.

4. Nas and Wu-Tang Clan

Are you a huge fan of old-school hip-hop music? If you are, you’ll be thrilled to hear that there will definitely be some hip-hop concerts worth checking out this year.

The biggest one will be the “NY State of Mind” tour that Nas and Wu-Tang Clan will be embarking on. The tour actually just started and will run until the beginning of October with stops all throughout the country.

If you prefer 1990s hip-hop over today’s hip-hop, this tour is going to be perfect for you.

5. Wiz Khalifa and Logic

Wiz Khalifa is supposed to be making appearances at a number of hip-hop festivals this summer. He was just at the Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash in the Midwest.

But once he’s all done fulfilling his festival obligations, Wiz is going to link up with Logic to do almost 30 shows on their “Vinyl Verse” tour. They’ll also be joined on the tour by other acts like DJ Drama, 24kGoldn, and more.

6. Pusha T

Believe it or not, Pusha T just earned his very first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart earlier this year when he released It’s Almost Dry. That’s pretty crazy when you think about what a long career the Virginia rapper has had.

Pusha is seemingly going to capitalize on this by heading out on his “It’s Almost Dry” tour. It kicked off in late May and is expected to run through the end of July.

7. Run the Jewels

Run the Jewels and Rage Against the Machine have been teasing the idea of going out on tour together for quite some time now. It appears as though this idea is finally coming to fruition soon.

El-P and Killer Mike will join Rage for a lengthy tour that will start in early July and run all the way through next April. Run the Jewels fans have been waiting patiently for the duo to showcase their last album, RTJ4, live. And now, they’ll finally get the opportunity to see them do it.

8. Suicide Boys

Although the Suicide Boys—also known as “$uicideboy$”—might not be as well-known as some of the other names on this list, they’ve established a strong following over the last few years. Ruby da Cherry and Scrim will use this to their advantage in the coming months by taking their show on the road.

You can scoop up Suicide Boys tickets now and catch them in action sometime between August and November. It’ll allow new Suicide Boys fans to get familiar with them and provide longtime fans with a chance to celebrate all their recent success.

Which Hip-Hop Concerts Will You Attend This Year?

As you can see, there is no shortage of options for those rap fans looking for hip-hop concerts right now. Regardless of where you might be located, you should be able to find a rap show coming to your part of the county soon.

The only question left to ask is: Which hip-hop concerts will you be buying tickets for? You should check out which shows will be coming to your town and purchase tickets for them ASAP before they sell out.
